Sand sculpture festival 2013 Saint-Petersburg

Once the international and the twelfth festival of sand sculptures is now in the Northern capital on the beach of the Peter and Paul fortress directly opposite the Winter Palace.

Everything about the architecture of sand, captures our imagination. Many, remembering the children back to their own memories built by the sea, river or lake sand castles. How much time, patience and creativity has been applied during their creation. It is therefore particularly interesting to look at the work of artists who create sand miracles.

Thematically, this year's festival under the theme: "the Island tales" and the participants were required to create gold from bulk material of the allegory of the fairy tales of the peoples of the world. The authors, without any doubt, did it. Winners of the competition were the sand sculptors: Richard Varano with the songs "Magic castle" (United States), Bob Atisso with the product of "Kirikou" (Africa), Leonardo Ugolini, who used motifs from the works of Giovanni Boccaccio (Italian Republic). It should be noted that the first prize was awarded simultaneously to three participants from different countries: the David Ducharme - "Tom thumb" (Canada), Sudarsana Pattnaik used fairy tales multinational India (Republic of India) and Dmitry Klimenko - "Martial arts" (Russian Federation). Also the organizers and sponsors were encouraged and some other members.

the Festival will be held before the end of August. The weather is all summer in St. Petersburg is mostly Sunny. Rains a little and You no doubt have a chance to admire the masterpieces of sand. The entrance to the beach, where are the sand composition for adults is 250 rubles, for pensioners, schoolchildren and students-150 rubles. Children up to seven years, the second world war, residents of Besieged Leningrad and the Disabled groups I and II, admission is free. Access to the sculptures is possible from 10 am to 9 PM.
